Normally saunf or fennel seeds are used as mouth freshener after meals. It is said to enhance digestion too. Ishaq Ali, from village in Kachholi in Sirohi district in Rajasthan, has added a new dimension to the crop by developing a new variety Abu Saunf 440.
The ABU SAUNF 440 is spreading its fragrance not only to the state but also at whole. This fennel crop is proving boon for the farmers of Abu. Farmers are so crazy about the cultivation of fennel that fennel is cultivated in about 1500 to 2000 hectare area in Abu Road and Reodar Block.

These cultivators are cultivating advanced fennel not only financially, but also in the houses, they are also developing all the modern equipment that can be seen in the home of a city resident. Farmers said that first they used to cultivate maize and wheat, but now focuses more on fennel with other crops. Now ten times the seed has sown foil. Interestingly, despite the high-tech era, the tenants here use the solution used by the banks to remove weeds.
